Spark the Future

This past October 10-14, Union Hall welcomed over 1,000 people representing our region’s startups, universities, corporations, investors, and support organizations, through its doors for our ecosystem’s sixth annual StartupCincy Week. The energy throughout the week was palpable as we brought the ecosystem back together in person for 35 events featuring over 150 speakers across four venues. We did what our ecosystem does best: connecting and catalyzing our entire region.

In the months before and after the event, we made use of a new platform that allowed  attendees to engage directly and organically with one another, leading to a wealth of connections with a reach far beyond the walls of Union Hall. Throughout those weeks leading up to the event and the week itself, over 3,835 total messages were sent and received. To put that into perspective, that is nearly 90 individual messages daily, and countless connections made.

Online, our website traffic increased by nearly 300%, and our social engagement nearly quadrupled. The insight for us is clear: our platform is there, growing, and ready to be engaged with content, knowledge sharing, and, most importantly, strategies that will shape our region’s future.

This year’s StartupCincy Week is a testament the incredible ecosystem collaboration of our key partners: Alloy Development Co., Blue North, CincyTech, Cintrifuse, ECDI, Endeavor, Flywheel Social Enterprise Hub, Product Refinery, REDI Cincinnati, and Reversed Out Creative. These organizations’ time, dedication, and energy brought Cincinnati a vibrant week of programming grounded in community and ongoing partnership and we are deeply grateful for their support. StartupCincy Week was just the start, and we are so grateful to have an active and engaged community surrounding us to spark the future in our region.
